Some information please lads( and lasses).
Autotrader has a 2002 'Elite' 3.2 listed with cloth upholstery and sat nav etc. I was under the impression that the larger engined 'Elite' had leather upholstery fitted as standard.
-
The 3.2 Elite came with LT as standard. However, there was a no cost option to have that changed to velour instead. I have seen 4 3.2 Elite's so far with velour interiors, so they are out there.
-
I think you could ask for cloth instead of leather as a no cost option ;)
-
I'd have thought VX should give a refund if you wanted cloth not cow, after all they usually charge if you want leather as an extra :-/
-
Yup, they are out there. And mine is one of them! :)
I actually prefer it too as I'm often in shorts and t-shirts to play football etc.. which isn't great on leather especially in hot/cold weather. Leather also tends to crack over time.
Leather usually sells on better I would have thought though.

Vauxhall? REFUND??? :o

they did this with with the Cavalier Diplomat, leather was standard with cloth as a reduced cost option.

That was a model designed to off load remaining stock of a car that was to be discontinued

Interesting, considering the Diplomat was dropped in 1993 I believe, being replaced with the CDX until 1995.
-
...well, it followed on the line of the Carlton Diplomat which was the grand-daddy of the Omega Elite really. CDX models already existed at that time.
Diplomat just never caught on.
-
I had a carlton diplomat, lovely car...
-
Me too, and I loved it.
Although, despite being a '93, it didn't even have a driver's airbag. :(

UNTRUE. I worked for Vx at the time and had several as management cars and bought one for my Father. It was introduced in '92 MY and replaced by the CDX in '94 MY. There were 4 main versions as it straddled the complex mid '93 MY airbag introduction and the later introduction of dual airbags as standard. It was also available with a number of factory options so was certainly not to shift old stock. Comments have already been made about the Carlton Diplomat. HTH :y
