Title: LPG Sparking plugs
Post by: MartinP on 25 September 2010, 21:01:08
Which plugs should I be using?

Currently do approximately 250 mile/week

95% on LPG.

Changed the plugs for a less worn used det, so now I need to buy the right ones.

Think Marks DTM recomends the twin electrode GM ones for LPG.

Standard GM plugs are fine on LPG. No need for anything exotic. :y

Stock 4electrode here, no issues...except they worked loose on the 246 bank, ESP 4 that was giving a miss fire code, soot all round the base and the coil PAC rubber, undid it by hand with plug socket and extention.  :o

...not an LPG plug related issue, but Master dtm has since mentioned torquing to 25nm, which I'm fairly sure I did, but also going back over them all 6 once again with the torque wrench as the crush washer can sometimes relax...I know I did not do that when fitting the loose ones.

Other than that the plugs looked in very good nic after 30k. But replaced like for like again while in there.
