Title: smelly water from water jet wash

Just been using them today and the water coming out is very smelly.Thinking that i will have to clean the fillter but can not recall where to look for it on the face lift. .

Any tips welcome

Same place as the prefacelift just easier to get at.

Dead easy to spot with the bonnet open, just pull the motor out and the filter is there.

Been using rubbish car plan esq washer fluid?

 ;D ;D Tesco rubbish i think....
Thanks Mark....is the motor in the center with thd plug on the top and sould i just pull it up as one unit.

Yep !   Chances are that it will be cheap washer liquid. Mine came from Halfrauds and boy o boy does it stink after a while.     You'd think it wouldn't matter either way....but it sure does...Yuck !

I always put in 2 caps of Methylated Spirits. It stops bacterial buildup, it degreases the screen & acts as an antifreeze  :y

Any tips for getting the pumps up they seem very hard to move and don,t what to damage anything. There is also what looks to be 2 pumps...one center and one to the left . Is it the left one for the wind screen and the other for the headlights.

put a couple of drops of bleach in the bottle, it kills the bacteria.
