Title: exhaust

Morning I was hoping that somebody could point me in the right direction. I seem to now have a problem with the drivers side exhaust when i sit at the lights or in traffic i get a rattle from the exhaust it sounds like something has come loose inside. I think it is from the middle box. If i take this to a exhaust centre will there be able to change just this piece or will i need to change the cat as well.

The rattle may only be a heatshield come loose, even if it is the baffles in the middle silencer then that will have no effect on the catalytic converter.

Hi already taken heatshield off because of a rattle. if it is a loose baffle will it be a mot fail because its due end of this month ?

if the exhaust is not leaking and the noise isn't excessive mot should be ok :y
