im pretty sure its not a replaceable bulb
hence the unit must be replaced

They can be replaced. I thought, as Tango does, that they were a permanent fitting bulb. You need to get the headlight switch out, there is a single bulb in the back of the switch itself.

Are there bulbs behind the front and rear foglamp switches that can be replaced as mine are not illuminated?

There should be a topic related to this replacement. Use "search" and you cannot miss it.

Never tried it on the Omega but had a similar switch module on my old Senator. (Ahhhh that WAS a car). The lamps were not intended for replacement as with all of the illuminated switches but managed to find some small pea lamps with wire connections in Radio Spares catalogue. Removed switch, opened carefully with small driver and blade and soldered the lamps in. Not a difficult job. :)

deejag94 - I have exactly the same situation with mine but the bub and it's fitting have come loose.
If you open the drivers door and release the side panel of the dashboard, you get access to behind the switch and I'm sure you'll find that the bulb and its holder have come loose from it's fitting.
I'm still trying to find out exactly where to refit it to but am not that worried as there is still some degree of illumination.
