Generally dont block due to filter in washer bottle.

Is it heated or non heated type - I imagine heated is expensive, thus would try likes of Darth Loo-knee and co for 2nd hand one

Do you have access to an air compressor? A quick blast with the air line can help unblock a washer jet. It's best done removed from the washer tubing as any sh1te in there is just moved back and is able to block the jet again.
NB a heated jet isn't particularly cheap to replace just cos it's blocked.

think it is heated yes,as has two wires going into it at back, tried pulling off the pipe on it stuck on steadfast,13 years on there i suppose, frightened of damaging the bonnets skin from behind also, might leave it till mot time+ see if passes ok,if not let tester have a go at it,well fiddly!!

It's clipped into the bonnet via clips either side of the washer that you need to squeeze together to pop it from the bonnet. As for the tubing, don't try it cold, it's easy to break things off  ::) Warm the tubing with a hair dryer or with a heat gun -BE CAREFUL you don't melt things though ;)
The air line is likely to be the easiest fix  :y  :y
