Post by: majesticlarge on 22 October 2010, 10:46:10
If i get the switches to fit in where the blanks are (TC) etc.. I know they wont work but would they light up ? I have looked behind the blanks and the metal connections are there.

just make sure whatever switches you get have working bulbs, and there are 3 types of buttons for the pre/minifacelifts

1 is smooth black plastic
2nd is textured black plastic
3rd is ruber feel and generally nasty feeling, rubber often wwears off making the switch look white.

You`re only missing two switches. TC not feasible on a 4-pot. Rear blind not doable on an estate.

what about the boot popper switch ?
Forgot about that one :-[. Switch will illuminate but should imagine it`s a fair bit of mucking about to get the tailgate to actuate. Not even sure whether it`s doable :-/

saying that looking on ebay a Linear Actuator would easily open and close the boot. Maybe something for the future  :y
