Hi All
This self levelling thing appears to be temperamental according to "buying advice" i found on here, can someone explain this?
Mine has a lot of weight in the boot (should-really-buy-a-van lot), and had coped well for the first 9 months of ownership. Lately tho, I've been scraping the exhaust :(. Unloaded the boot completely last week, and tried turning on & off, leaving a while then again etc, but made no difference, still looks like a chavs lowering effort
Thoughts pls guys? :-/

It's a simple system, pump in the front drivers wing, which can be heard running about 30seconds after ignition on as the car sets it's hight according to the sensor by the fuel filter on the rear suspension arm drivers side.
If you want to know what the thump sounds like it's audible in the pedal trick video in paper clip test in maintanance section. Plus there is a guide on testing by moving the sensor arm also in maintenance.
So first thing, can you hear the pump run, if not check fuse 27(I think) which also runs the rear 12volt socket, or most likely the pump has failed/seized, should be available at a breakers on here or the guy at Heathrow.
If the pump runs but no action at the back then most likely an air leak, are the hoses connected, does it actually have the correct self level shocks, sometimes cheaper normal shocks are fitted.
Other option is a failed or disconnected sensor, but not heard of that yet on here.

Thats a whole lot of info, many thanks.
Have had the rear 12v socket re-wired for permenant so that's out, but will check the guide when I get a chance
Am also fairly sure the right shocks are on it, as stated earlirt, I'm sure it used to work!
Cheers

When its working it is very, very good. I had to tow using standard shocks once with this .. absolutely horrible..... self levelling really does work well.
As said .. it is a simple system, and most of the bits are available from breakers, although, personally, I would not fit used shockers.
Check the sensor, rear right suspension , just to ensure the arm has not pinged off... :)
