Hello
I'm putting my engine together again, and I'm almost done.
However, there's a vaccumhose missing...somewhere!?
I'm afraid it maight be somewhere behind the engine?!
Does anyone know which hose should go there???
Here's some pictures of the connection:

Hi
I can't really tell from the photos.
Is one the curved hose in photo#1 ?
If the car is an automatic then there is also a gearbox breather pipe in the area at the back of the plenum. It doesn't connect to anything. It is of course bigger diameter than a vac hose. maybe half inch ext diameter.

Its the black small pipe, wich the red arrow is pointing at.
Here's another picture, I've circle'ed the pipe:

What should be connected to it??

It's been a while since i had my plenum off, but IIRC, there is a vac hose with a curve in it that goes round to the bottom right hand corner of your last picture, towards the ICV, and IIRC it actually connects to the large hose coming off the ICV, on the underside, so it isn't immediately apparent.
-
Aha, ok.
I think I connected that hose from ICV to some "valve" or something on the fuelrail!
Then the next question is, what should be connected to the round thing on the fuelrail??

The vacuum hose for the one in your picture runs along the cable tray and round to that valve. If it is connected to the pressure regulator then re-connect it to the valve. The pipe on the pressure regulator comes from the pipe connecting the IACV to the inlet trunks at the front. :y

Thanks alot for the help, you're a lifesaviour.
I will continue the reassembly tomorrow...
-
Shit, I need some more info on this.
I've been out now but I have'nt seen any vaccum hose hanging loose...exactly what is IACV??
O'boy this really is a maze :P
-
I FOUND IT!!!
It was hidden behind the engine! ::)
Now there's only two more screws then I can finally see if the reassembly was a succes or a failure.
If the engine starts, later, it will be the first time since may.
I miss my car... :)
