On my Vectra I drilled 2x 2inch holes at the bottom of the air box so it sounded a bit 'beefier'. (It's called an Air Box Mod).
I also Blanked off 2 resonator pipes which led to the air box and only kept the actual cold feed pipe open. This Increased the amount of cold air coming into the air box. Which felt like it improved performance (or maybe it was the sound that it made, just made me put my foot down harder)
My question is, Is it worth doing the same 'drilled hole' method on the omega v6, on the side of the wing so its far away as possible from the engine?
But this time doing it in a way that I can put another cold air feed into the box?
Also, Does the omega 3.0 v6 have any resonator pipes that are worth removing?
Or is it a simple single pipe leading to the air box?
I can only see 1 pipe leading to the air box, but the opening to it is in in front of the radiator and seems to be pointing upwards as opposed to outwards (facing the grille). Can this be improved upon?

In a word? No

you can drill holes for that 'broken exhaust' sound, but you wont get any more performance.
There is no intake restriction for your mods to have any effect on.

Also, the drilled holes will allow hot air in (all underbonnet air is hot).
For performance, stick to how GM made it, and pop a new GM filter in annually

I keep attacking mine with an air line, but I think you're right, maybe I should change mine a bit more frequently. ;D ;D

Eh? Its not a reducer, that scoops the nice cool air from underneath the car, removing it means it will suck in warm engine bay air, reducing performance.

As Jimbob previouslt pointed out, getting air in with the standard setup isn't the problem.
Biggest restriction, particularly on 2.5/3.0 are the exhaust manifolds.

Eh? Its not a reducer, that scoops the nice cool air from underneath the car, removing it means it will suck in warm engine bay air, reducing performance.
Its in the top haf of the airbox, there is a pipe that sticks out into the box.
