school boy error, removed the mass air sensor and didnt look to see which way the arrow on the housing was facing, does the arrow face towards the engine or towards the air filter housing? :o :o :o
-
Arrow towards engine, same as airflow direction, surely?
-
Towards the engine as Abiton said. I don't see how you can get it the wrong , as the loom connector wont be long enough to plug it in the wrong way around! :y
-
thats what i thought and loom is plenty long enough for both ways, just abit confused as arrow on it pointing to air filter could indicate air coming in????
just got myself at it for a moment! :o :o :o :o :o :o

I don't know specifically about the Omega, but an Astra TD's MAF also has a very fine mesh filter on the suction side of the sensor. If you don't use an air filter, this fine filetr will block & suffocate your engine ........ apparently! ::) ::) ::) ::)

by suction side you mean closest to the turbo? :-/

The filter side, it wouldn't be much use after the sensor ;) ;) Your arrow is/should be showing the direction of air flow. :y
