Hi all - now that I'm going to be in the UK for at least the next 6 months (allegedly), I've got the v6 special MoT'd & back on the road.
I'd appreciate an opinion on the car, as to where I go with it. The 'low beam/field vision' light is on, & the TC light is on. I had to have the ABS ECU replaced a while back, & this would intemitently flicker on & off, although it is now on all the time.
Is there anyone near Aberdeen that would be willing to cast their eye over the car? I'm big enough to realise it needs some work doing to it - I just need to figure out if it's worth me doing. I have it in my head that there is someone in Kirkcaldy - or have I just imagined that?? Or should I just bite the bullet & head into Vauxhall.....?
Your thoughts are appreciated on this.
Cheers 8-)

I've managed to get 5 minutes to check the fault codes, & the only one showing is 0704. I've had a look on the site, & it seems to be something to do with the clutch, although I'm aware that it may be something else.
Does this make any sense to anyone? I just find it a bit strange that I've got 2 warning lights, & only one fault code.

Thanks for that mate - I'll try to track him down.

The low beam/fld vision may be an easy fix, this is showing because there is a problem with your self-levelling HID headlights. There are two level sensors under the car, one on the n/s front wishbone and one on the n/s rear suspension. The usual problem is that a ball joint on one of these has popped out and just needs to be popped back in. It's easy to see if this has happened just by having a look.
Otherwise, either the sensor itself needs replacing or a motor has seized in one of the headlights

Thanks for that - I've noticed that it doesn't show when the car starts & is stationary, & only kicks in once the car has been on the move for a bit. I'll get that checked asap - fingers crossed for the easy fix!

The low beam/fld vision won't throw up a fault code as such - just shows up on display
TC light on - have you switched TC off on the switch?

I had a funny feeling that the low beam light wouldn't generate a fault code.
I've tried the TC switch, & nothing seems to happen - I'm trying to do all the simple fixes first, although it doesn't look like I'm in luck!
