Title: fuel problem
Post by: mick-1975 on 04 November 2010, 21:01:40
hi all , ive been checking my fuel now for a couple of weeks and noticed that a full tank will only do 350 miles its a 2.2 estate auto , i dont thrash it everywhere nor do short runs as i work 22 miles away from home . Theres no fuel leaks anywhere just seems to be drinking it all the time. Any advice would be great or what to do .
:y :y.    Just wondered if that was normal and what other omegas get . :y

When was it last serviced .... properly ???

A clean air filter, properly set plugs, and some nice clean oil can do wonders for fuel consumption .. :)

the last mig i had was the 2.2 auto estate and i thought after my v6 it would be a bit more mpg friendly, how wrong and upset was i...it obviously didnt sound as good,i got about 1 more mpg round town and it did less on a run than the v6.they are crap and should never of been made, omegas are v6 babes and the only advantage of the 4 pot(and some will disagree)is they have a bit more room in the engine bay and are easier to work on
