Title: Compatibility of parts
Post by: less on 07 November 2010, 22:23:56
Evening all. Looking for clarification of parts/models.

I may be looking for a replacement autobox shortly (if the filter and oil change doesn't fix it).

Reading through lots of threads, including my last one has left me with a few questions.

1. I had assumed that mine would be an AR25 but one of the comments read suggested that all 2.6 and 3.2 had AR35 fitted. I can't get at mine to check at the moment, does anyone know the answer?

2. If mine is an AR25, is it a straight forward swap to fit an AR35 or does this require ecu change or reprogramme etc?

3. AR35 - are they different between 3.0 and 3.2?

And lastly, since some kind ba**ard has just smahed my driver's door mirror and not bothered to stop and make good:

4. Are the door mirrors the same on pre/mini/ and facelifts?

Any help with answering the above would be much appreciated, thanks guys and girls.

1. Yours will be the AR25 on a 2.6.
2. Straight swop.
3. No all the same.
4. No, pre and mini are the same, facelift are more square and stick out a bit further.
