Is the oil leaking out and collecting in the undertray, maybe? Or a seal at the rear of the engine and it's getting trapped in the gearbox bellhousing.
Strange that you can't see a leak. is there any oil in the sparkplug wells?
You could pm Darth Loo Knee, he will travel to help out.

Dareth Loo-Knee can be highly recommended and trusted to do excellent work. Elite Pete also does work for OOF members and there have been good reports about him also. Whatever you do, avoid Main Dealers like the plague, unless you want to be ripped off/hoodwinked or both.
Better brains than mine will comment on your oil loss which does seem a bit catastrophic. My 2.6l loses a small amount of oil due to faulty valve oil seals, (a known problem on a certain range of 2.6 engines which manifests itself as a cloud of blue smoke on start-up after a rest), but this is not especially serious if it doesn't get excessive, so long as I check the oil level regularly.
Your answer will lie on this forum, so keep asking.
