Title: catalytic converter
Post by: crew18 on 10 November 2010, 15:35:48
hi

i have one of the catalytic converters has broken down and makes a tremendous rattle at tickover and at about 3thousand 3 and a half it makes and ear ringing ear splitting noise.

i was wondering if it would do any damage to the engine if i was to remove them and put a straight pipe in place ??

if the cats are rattling as bad as you you say at 3k revs it still won't pas the test due to excessive noise
