Title: shock question
Post by: mrgreen on 15 November 2010, 18:53:28
hi all in the next few days i'm taking delivery of my new shocks (bilstein b4's can't wait!), question is where is the top shock mount in an estate? do i have to remove the back carpets to find them? also does anyone know which fuse needs to be removed for the self levellers (don't know if i have them but just in case)
thanks, Rich.

usually the easiest way to tell if one of the brakes is binding is to feel the wheel, if its hot/warmer than the rest then you have found the culprit.

you can pull the lever back to release the handbrake by hand (from underneath, without need for a jack)

i had mastered the art of this when my old omega's handbrake used to jam on.

to fix it you will need to replace the springs that pull the handbrake levers back (on the backplate moncler (http://www.jacketssale.net/)  of discs)

and may need to lubricate the handbrake cables.
