Title: Eggy smell from under car
Post by: mark.adams on 16 November 2010, 18:47:42
New cat recently fitted, occasional whiff of egg, is this normally caused by overfuelling and which O2 sensor should i  be suspicious of, does it on both LPG and petrol so not fuel dependant, MAF replaced with genuine GM one, only very occasionally get emissions light on and only on petrol. I am thinking one of the sensors on exhaust.

Hmmm,
The only time I have experienced the eggy smell was with a company Omega that some pratt had put leaded fuel into and it knackered the cats.
No doubt someone will have other causes or suggestions, just be patient.

No codes stored currently, when the emissions light is on its the usual lean mixture code that omegas suffer from.
