Post by: markspark on 19 November 2010, 14:41:59
Thanks goes to CaptainZoc for the use of his code reader

As above CaptainZoc came to reset my airbag light when he did this it came up with fault again and again I’m sorry don’t have the fault code but it’s something to do with the occupancy sensor or child seat sensor where will I find it and how do I get round/over the problem as I need to mot the car
Once again thanks captainZoc

Does page 90 help...?

http://images.omegaowners.com/documents/UserGuides/OmegaOct2002.pdf

I assume we are talking about front passenger seat/symbol in light cluster by rear view mirror?

Transponder related to vauxhall approved child seat systems?

If the car detects such a seat and it's transponder it deactivates the air bag on pas side. If it does not detect a child seat the symbol above the mirror goes out a few seconds after ignition on and the air bags are armed.

I'll have to pass on that one though  :-/ I reckon  that's more The Boy's or Kevin W's area of expertise.

Yes, but does it relate to the pas side at least...?

But as said, tech 2 job I reckon.  :-/

Mine is on because it needs a new ecu fitting, code 55 iirc.... ::) ::)

Needs a code read, as said, to see exactly what the problem is.

Seat occupancy sensor was an option so possibly the ECU could be configured to ignore it. :-/
