Title: how to change heater motor

hi all i just bought a eite 3.0 and what a car well so i thought everything works apart from the heater the climate unit all lights up and when u turn up the speed nothing happends so i was wondering how easy is it to change the motor i think its that whats  blown any other ideas would be great its a 1998 auto 3.0 if this helps

Have you checked fuse #33 Big one, top left hand corner of fuse box under steering wheel :question

Before you do all of that pop the rheostat out and check that (located near the heater motor) as that can stop the fan working. This is normally caused by the pollen filter cavity filling with water.

hi ok il check that i can fell the fan moving freely when i spin by hand when i go to check that unit is it controled by electric say by 4 wires and also is there a way of testing the fan to make sure that works

If you look through the link already posted you'll see the motor is powered by 2 wires (brown is the negative), just run a fused wire to the red and see if it runs, if it does it'll be the rheostat :y

ok i will test is that rheostat thing easy to change if it was that to be at fault

hi i removed that unit thats next to the fan it just ooks like a heating eliment some form of preheater so i went to mt scrappy and the only omega they had was a 2.5 facelift and took the unit out of that fitted it to my car a bingo all working perfect thank you so much for ur help may i ask 1 more thing if u had a choice of any petrol omega what 1 would it be
