Title: heating problem
Post by: rickmv6 on 27 November 2010, 19:43:02
i have recently bought a facelift mv6 omega estate.  the heating inside car didnt blow heat just cool air.  engine runs perfect fans all kick in as they should. i did a rad flush which made it blow out hot air but during driving inside cab air cools down. not sure what to do next.

Are the 2 heater pipes going through the bulkhead to the heater getting hot?
If no then remove vacuum pipe from top of HBV and see if they get hot?
If yes then you need to flush the heater matrix.  :y

Does the engine temp guage read normal.

Since this goes cold when you turn heating up try resetting the controller, the flap motors may need re-synchronising.
Press Auto and Off at the same time you should hear the motors resetting.
