Title: Continuous loud noise from car when turned off
Post by: Dinger on 06 December 2010, 07:17:36
Woken up this morning by car making loud noise. Could only stop it by disconnecting the battery. It is not the alarm as that went off briefly whilst trying to get into the car. Managed to stop that using the key fob. Any suggestions what it is. Noticed the battery green indicator light not showing.

First off, your battery needs charging.

Second, the power sounder probably needs attention.

Have a look in the Maintenance Guides for Power Sounder, and Kevin Woods Battery and Alternator advice.

Thanks, probably get a new battery anyway as this one is a few years old now. What does the power sounder do?
