Its about that time again..........................heater "packs up", and after agood drain, flush out heater matrix, a drop of vinegar and caustic soda (very weak) later, a bit of crap comes out of the matrix and block, refill, add 50% antifreeze, top up, bleed air out, all good again for a year.
WHY?
getting a bit fed up now, does it every Dec, then ok for a whole year afterwards.
Somebody put me out of my misery and tell me whats going on?
T.I.A, :-? :-? :-?
Mike.

Throttle body heating? No fuel in there.

my old mv6 did the same.....I blamed the fact it lived on radweld for so long
-
Thanks fellas, you MIGHT just have cracked it there..................when I first bought the car, the radiator was "goosed" and lived on "radweld " for a while.....................
See, I knew somebody would know!
I love this forum................................................ ;D

I reckon so, had to flush mine about twice a winter to keep warmth, and never warmed up very fast.

Radweld is evil.
Somebody should invent something that disperses radweld permanently.
I hear that central heating flush does a fairly decent job.

Makers should also make an antidote of some sort. But usually one bottle of rad weld weld per system is the limit, any more and it will bung up.
