No snowflake button on the Manual.
-
Heres an honest answer for you as I think the others are trying to fool you...... The real reason you have this is to attract the snow fall to your car only as it allows you to have as much fun as u want while driving..... but watch out you dont land up in a ditch tho
-
terribly sorry old boy, I am a little tired!

Im guessing you pressed it on thursday night, and thats why the whole country is covered in snow, so for obama's sake switch it off!!
that way the rest of us "normal" people can get on with our lives.

Steve is far too sophisticated & streetwise to pass this kind of drivel as genuine inquiry! Also Bill_Oddie could'nt hold a candle to STMO in any shape or form :y
-
who is STMO :-?
-
I thought it was for the weather forecast, you have traffic master built in so I thought it was weather master
-
this is a wind up....right :-? ::)
-
ffs... Bill, many apologies as everyone appears to be taking the wotsit out of you...
The snowflake button, according to my manual --- It increases the tyre pressures all round, softens the suspension and puts a variable delay in the response time from you turning the steering wheel to the front wheels turning... It will also periodically dramatically lock one brake on... This is all in order to educate the driver to how the car may handle in snow....
-
You have to ensure that the Grit storage reservoir is topped up before you select it though just in-case it runs out.

Please forgive me in advance!
So there you have it; S is for Salt and Sport, it is common knowledge to the regular Omega owner that the front fog lamps fold down, a bit like 007’s car, when the S button is pressed, but only when the outside temperature drops below 3DegC (When the temperature display flashes). Now on the Omega there lies behind the fog lamps spraying nozzles that spray a thin layer of salt solution in front of your tyres as you drive along. This helps to melt any ice or snow before your tyres make contact.
You will have noticed that the local councils provide those big yellow salt bunkers in residential areas. This is where you top up your car when the weather gets bad. To top up, lift bonnet, remove the yellow cap at the front (Same colour as the salt bunker for convenience) it even has a spray pattern embossed on the cap to help with identification. This should be mixed 50 / 50 with Screen wash for best effect. Do this as often as you need to during the winter months. ;) ;)
