I have a small leak on the project car diff.
It needs about half an inch or less of oil to top up.
Question is what to use? Haynes says SAE90
Is that what I ask for (bearing in mind it will be a Spanish motor factors with nothing on display)?
I don't suppose for one moment I could use a drop of the gallons of Dexron3 I have lying around?!!

SAE80/90 hypoid
The oil of choice is the BOA90LS from opie, this is an LS oil so has a friction modifier in it which appears to help the seals!

you CANNOT use ATF, sorry.
prett much anything with a "80" or a "90" on the label will be ok for a top-up.
