Title: Scuttle leaked onto plug 6
Post by: Malcolm_D on 22 December 2010, 22:45:42
So this is the cause of the misfire, have removed all leads to be cleaned and checked, will do the same with plugs while I am at it. The leads were replaced last year so should be OK. While I have them off I want to check their 'performance', how can I do this and what reading on a multimeter should I be looking for, I am ok if it needs hitting with a big hammer but not so hot on electrics  ::) Having checked and cleaned both the leads and the plugs should I be using anything to ensure a sound electrical connection when I put them back together?

Merry Christmas to all OOFs and a big thanks for the help, advice and interesting threads.  ;) ;)

Run a bead of sealant down the join of the 2 halves of the skuttle, that should stop it happening again. May also be frugle to put a bead around each wiper spindle hole at the same time :y

Thanks - it is now on my 'to do' list after everything is back together, would you advise a squirt of WD40 inside the HT plug caps just before refitting or just leave them clean? :)
