Cheese wire! Its not bolted down, but in this weather its going to be bloody hard glue. Maybe worth removing the boot lid as a whole, bringing it into the house. Then maybe hair dryer on the spoiler to try and soften the glue

Worth a shot. :y  Not too worried about damaging bootlid. Would let lid go with spoiler but you`re then stuffed with carriage charges >:(

When I had my windscreen done, bloke doing it used Cheesewire to slice through the old rubber seal, was easily done! Maybe worth getting/borrowing some (if you can get a set)  :-/

Could always go to a music shop and ask them if they have any old Nylon guitar strings that they have changed on someone guitar and ask if you could have them instead of chucking them.

Then just gets some long wooden dowelling, drill hole in the middle, thread the nylon guitar string through each one (have a length of about 30cms) and then with a bit of time and patience’s?.
May need another pair of hands to gently pull up on the spoiler as your working your way along the spoiler, but not so as to distort the spoiler itself.  :y

I thought they used coiled wire, all my friends did.

Makes good model railway brake pipes! :y

I've always used the hammer and chisel method and its never failed yet but it does bugger the boot lid up. Use the chisel to put dents in the boot lid about 5mm away from the spoiler and work your way all around the spoiler ;)

Think I'd be inclined to sell as boot comes free, not sure about the saloons but the estates are a real pain in the rear to get off.

Suggest use a steel Guitar B string (mine are 0.012" diameter) not nylon. Its a plain steel string not wound which are used on GDA& low E strings. The top E string at 0.010" which is also plain steel would probably be too weak
