Title: f/lift gearstick surround; differences auto/manual
Post by: humbucker on 31 December 2010, 15:21:13
is the gear surround on a manual (the wood bit, or silver on mv6) a different shape item than it is on the auto? i know the gearstick housing itself is different to accomodate for the illuminated gear selector on the auto, but i thought the actual centre-consoley bit that surrounds the recess was the same item between manual and auto? can anyone clarify? ta

Yes they are different. The leather gaitor is a lot narrower on the auto. The whole panel itself is the same size and shape just the internal cut outs are different.
