Hi and Happy New Year :y :y :y
My Mig is running as rough as a box of nails and I'm thinking that my leaking scuttle has finally come back to bite me in the bum and the coil pack has gone :-? I havn't paper clipped it, but it's missing and spluttering and I'm guessing that all the snow melt was the final straw.... Is there anything else it could be?
Also, I've seen a second hand coil pack for a 2.5 V6 Vectra (Funds are tight!), is this the same as the Omega? Do you generally need to change the leads as well, or might I get away with just the coil pack?
Thanks and Happy New Year to Everyone!!

Check the plug wells don't have any water in them, if so use kitchen towel to drain them. Dry the lead ends thoroughly and refit. It should be ok again for a while then. While you're there run a bead of sealant (I use the black stuff for the cam covers as it blends better) down the joint in the skuttle and around each wiper spindle hole. That should reduce the water ingress :y

Thanks, I'll try that tomorrow! and seal the scuttle... :-[

It might be worth checking the fit of the sealing strip that clips to the bottom of the windscreen as well, as if not fitted correctly it too can be an additional source of water ingress into the skuttle :) :)

Too be honest the scuttle's not the best, as it looks as though someone has tried to yank it out from under the windscreen rubber. Most of the plastic clips are missing and the holes broken so it probably dosn't fit as tight as it should.... :'(

Always worth checking the windscreen rubber is still firmly stuck to the wind screen.

By the way, is the Vectra 2.5 V6 the same engine as the Omega 2.5 V6? As I've seen a Vectra V6 coil pack and its looking like I've abit of stripping down to do anyway, so wondering if it will fit?
