Title: rear tie rod.

Just been back from the shops and noticed my omega to be very high at the back ( 3.0 elite ) because it's raining i had a quick look under the back and im sure the rear offside tie rod is bent,are they easy to replace and how much do they cost ?  :)

If it`s bent replace with secondhand but I`d suggest checking self-leveller on that side.

PS I sold a pair of S/H rear arms for £15 but I doubt if that`s your problem

Im sure it was bent and touching the self leveller,i wonder if it's  unwound on it's own, will have to check tomorrow now .

If you do have to replace the rear tie rods (new or 2nd hand), strip them down and fully grease them up.  They always bloody seize otherwise.


Changing the tie rods will need a full geometry check afterwards...

I thought that,when i was at WMI tony could not adjust that one due to it being seized up,it will be a trip to WIM again after i get it done and the new front poly bushes for the wishbones are fitted  :y

Checked on a ramp and no bent tie rods,let pressure out of shocks and started car back up pump kicked in and suspension now normal,the level sensor was free to move also as i greased it up when i changed the shock 18 months ago, so who knows what caused it
( lot's of speed ramps in london ? ).
