i have a 2.2dti elite saloon or so it says on the v5 and on the car.
BUT, after many hours reading through this forum im starting to wonder.
ok my car has 17 inch alloys, leather interior, heated front and rear, bose 4cd unit with amp in the boot undr the parcel shelf, boot spoiler, seelf leveling suspension and bee sting ariel, and heres the BUT, it has no sat nav, no traction controll as far as im aware of and alot of the posts about elites and the pics i have seen on here all seem to indicate that it should have these things? the car is on a 51 plate, if i can figure out how to up some pics i will, and 1 for the mods," there has to be a simpler way to up photos to this site" but i may just be thick! :o :P

Satnav optional TC was only on the V6
-
Sat Nav was a cost option, even on the Elite
4Cylinder Omega's dont have TC.

-

Mine is a Mini-Facelift in that Champagne colour, and initially I bloody hated it (the colour), but with F/L bump strips, it looks much better and has grown on me.
Still gay though! ;D
-
lol, gay indeed! ive seen worse coloured omegas driving about!
looks quite nice with the beige leather and the 17 inch alloys
-
My MV6 is gold, and in MINT condition. I think it's a reaaly good colour
-
Self levelling only on Elite, and some plod in theory?
...and yes the 4 pots don't need TC ;D. :-X
What head unit is fitted?
-
but if you bought cd, or cdx or whatever versions there were besides elite you couldn't fit self leveling??
-
it now has a ccr 2006 as the old one wouldnt play cds but was the same model i think or very similar, 4 cd ejectable draw
-
Usually ncdc 2013 or 2015, both have nav, 15 has telematics as well.
-
my early facelift elite has ccr2006 as well

The F/L 3.0 did have it as standard, except *very* early ones. All 3.2 had it. Those facelifts not having the satnav had ccr2006.
Later Elites (2002 on) lost the rear blind.

My mates W plate 3.0 Elite has the ccr2006 and I erroneously thought that was 'standard' fit until they changed to the 3.2. As usual, I was wrong ;D ;D ;D
Touché Andy, Touché! ;D

It's not the parts that make the Elite, it's the sum of the parts, what they do, the way they make you feel, the driving experience and more.
From serenely cruising at 30 around tow, or unstressed cruising at 120 mph on the motorway throughout the night. Then there's the lovely smooth and responsive autobox, the kickdown and the surge of power, the amazing handling for such a big car, that grips and grips then lets go progressively.
The comfort, the clarity of the sound system, the heat of the seats.
Omegas RULE!

I agree with most of your post, but the Elite handling is nothing better than awful. More comfortable than an equivilent 5 series or E class, but handling is poor in comparison.
Chuck some Bilstein Shocks and Eibach Springs on and you have comparable ride and handling to both aforementioned cars.
-
Ah yes, but the Omega excels in one area, comfort, the rest is a compromise. I prefer my Elites handling to my MV6. The only thing i don't like is, is that it thuds more on bumps and holes.
Omegas RULE!
