1. Can anyone advise on what sort of LSD the TVP Omegas had from the factory?
When i'm making turns or if the car is under load there's what i can only describe as a 'klonk' and vibration coming from the rear diff.... its almost like being in a car that has a wealded diff. Is this due to the type of diff fitted or am i facing some £££ issues :-[
2. Anyone local to me have the Vx computer thing? Is it called 'Tech 2'? Need my cruise control turned on.
Thanking you!

Diff doesn't sound right :-/ I assume you've checked the oil?
Nearest Tech 2 to you is Kevin Wood near Alton :y

a lot didnt have LSD as standard, I can check yours if you pm me your reg. Shouldnt be making that sort of noise, hopefully just low oil, but could be fubar.
Nearest 'forum' tech2 is in Alton, Hampshire, or then Brackley, Northampton

If it has an LSD and it's a clutch type (which, IIRC, the Omega was) then it could easily be a clutch diff with the wrong oil (or no friction modifiers in).. that'd cause it to lock up inappropriately.

Yep, sounds like a LSD with knackered oil.
An oil change with LS additive or a proper LSD oil would be my first recommendation.
Happy to enable the cruise whenever convenient. Why not pop over to the "Cam Belt Party" that Gaffers is organising at the end of February?
It's probably worth getting hold of a cruise stalk beforehand so we can double check the functionality.

Hi Kevin,
I already have the correct stalk which i'm fitting on Friday.
Cambelt party!? Are you being serious? Hmmmm I spose i could get my cam belt, tensioners and water pump done at the same time then ::)
Can you or anyone recommend the correct oil to use in the LSD so i can get it serviced?
Cheers.

Just thought the journey would be more worthwhile with a bit of a social event at the end of it rather than just me. ;)
BOA90LS is the normal recommendation for LSD oil IIRC. Haven't got one myself. :(
