I'm sure I'll be corrected if I'm wrong but I'm sure that a 2.2 has 2 catalytic converters hence it also has 2 lambda/oxygen sensors. They are the only electrical connections on the exhaust. :y

Hi thanks for your help, 2 cats eh just what I wanted to hear.

you'd have 4 if you drove a 2.6 or 3.2 ;) ;) ;)
There's a pre-cat, than a lambda, main cat and then another lambda sensor. :y

Aside from live data, anyone know of a way to check wether the lamdas are fault on these. My cars a bit juicy at the minute, im not sure whether its timing for the lamdas?
-
forgot to add been running a little rough when cold
-
Right, the code you'd have got is P0170 Rich/Lean Fuel Trim Bank 1. Rough running when cold along with the code P0170 is a sure sign your MAF (Mass Air Flow Meter) is farooqed. Try looking in the parts for sale section and PM'ing RobG (you won't be able to reply to his thread as you don't have enough posts yet). He is breaking a 2.2 at the moment :y

Why's that Lee? .............obviously not doubting you at all ;)

Had it a couple of times on customers cars and the
gay coloured gold saloon I had. P0170 and running like a bag of nails when cold.
Rob as a quick test, when it's cold unplug the MAF (plug on the tube coming from the air filter housing just behind the drivers side headlight) before you start it up. See if it runs any better. If it tuns better then you'll need to replace the MAF :y
