Down beside the oil filter on the v6. There is a pic in the guides somewhere.

Cheers m'dear

OK, I've read the following off the plate - 603199 Y26SE 029254, which part is the actual engine number 603199 or 029254.
Cheers for any help - need to order cambelt kit plus other parts and want to ensure I get the right parts - still waiting for full V5 hence the question.
Cheers

I couldn't work it out from the numbers you posted, hence a coverall post from me with all Vauxhall's cam belt kit numbers ;D
What you should end up with though is a kit that just has one eccentric adjuster at the top and a none adjustable roller towards the middle/right hand side
-
Cheers Andy, bizarre - think I'll go for the later one and keep my fingers crossed it's the right kit when I strip down.
As the saying goes "you've been no elp at all :D
-
In case you didn't bother to look for it, heres the link for the piccy i talked about earlier.
It shows the number format and so you should be able to work out what the actual number is.

Will have another look tomorrow but I'm pretty sure that the number I got off the engine down by the oil filter was in the format in my post above unless there's another "plate" in that area????
-
Not plate.
Its a stamped in number as per the pic.... :y
-
Colin, PM me your reg number and I'll get you the Vx part number for the cambelt kit :y
