P0505      Idle Air Control Voltage High
P0505      Idle Air Control Voltage Low

Suggests your IAC is not happy, try cleaning the connector, may want replacing.

also, any air leaks?  spray carb cleaner around the engine, if the engine rev changes, youve found a leak.

When you cleaned the throttle and idle valve, did you also clean the small breather jet as described in Grumpy's "How To" (http://www.omegaowners.com/forum/YaBB.pl?num=1194007453) ?
In my experience - although I can't properly explain why - if that jet is not clear, the idle will be lower than it should be.

Changing the RPM with a Tech2 is not a solution to your problem. You need to establish what is causing it.
Have you checked for air leaks as Jimbob suggested?

Dunno if it's my headphones, but that sounds horrible!
Not exactly purring is she.   :o

If you take off the oil filler cap with engine idling, is there plenty of oil flicking around in the camcover?

As a starter, sounds like one of the pulleys driven by the aux belt is dry.

On top of that, also sounds like the exhaust manifold is blowing.
