Title: drivers electric seat

hi all my drivers seat gave up the ghost last night i was hoovering the car went to put the seat back to normal position it went so far and just stopped it sounds as though the motor is still working as the seat will go back then forward so far before it just stops in the manual it says use the crank handle to adjust when the electric part fails only problem i dont have the crank handle anhy ideas what i can use to adjust my seat helpppppp [smiley=angry.gif] [smiley=angry.gif]

Is the seat still moving a little bit or are you just hearing clicking noises?

if the seat will still move a bit it sounds as though you may have a coin or something stuck in the runners,if you raise the seat as high as it will go have a look for anything jammed in there

hi seat will go all the back will raise up and go down but stops about 4inches from the end of the runner going forward

My seat done the same on high setting seemes somthing jamed but can not see enything in the way

Look down the inside edge beside the seatbelt "stalk" .. there is a small gap where the stalk attaches to the side of the seat.....  a coin will fall through there very easily.. but is a sod to see and a b*****d to get out

This is what 1 euro looks like after it was eventually removed

The removal was done from behind the seat with a long screwdriver poking forward until it moved enough to get one of those 3-pronged flexible pickup thingies onto it from the front.

Only took an hour of faffing and swearing  .. :(
