My vauxhall omega 2.5 v6 is started to have a burning smell when run for 10 mins or so, and smoking a bit out the exhurst! what could be wrong? :(

Something leaking onto the exhaust would be my guess. Possibly cam cover gaskets leaking oil onto the exhaust manifolds (check the plug wells for oil).
Another possibility is that the diff pinion seal is leaking and throwing oil onto the exhaust.

thanks i'll check, if it is the gasket covers is it a big job? and is there any one in the area that could help me, i need the car for my disabled mum cause of its comfort!!!! ::)

did i mention when i go under bonnet there seems to be smoke coming from round where you put the oil in!

that definitely points to cam cover seals leaking onto manifold

What sort of burning smell? Burning oil? Plastic? Or could this be from road salt? As some of us have noticed recently?

Found part on ebay, and someone to do it thanks all!

Becareful what your buying off ebay, I would and I know alot of others on here would advise to buying Genuine Vauxhall Cam Cover Gaskets & O rings, the cheaper ones just don't last :)
