Title: Headlight range waning
Post by: SP_3.2 on 25 January 2011, 09:47:12
Getting this poping up on starting the car only not as i,m driving. I have checked the conections and all seem good. i have removed the front rod on the sensor and moved the arm up and down after a few time the headlight range moves up and down... which i would think would show the the motors are working ok.

I have also checked the rear sensor and arm and all fine.Anywhere else to check or is it Tech 2 time.

Thank
Steve.

If it's still operating as intended, it's possible that the wiring has chafed under the front wing and brought up the warning falsely.

I've seen a couple of cars with the warning on the MID but where the ECU is happy after a chat with a Tech 2. If there's a real problem the lights will normally dip fully.
