Title: Electronic light on the dash board
Post by: kingycos2 on 25 January 2011, 00:55:32
I was driving tonight, and the car slightly juddered as if it was running out of fuel, then the orange light with a spanner comes on. So I pull over to check the manual and it says "Electronic fault or gearbox electronic fault". The car went into limp mode. However when I got home i turned the engine off, waited for a minute then started it again, and the light went out. I've not driven it again but will be doing at some point tomorrow, anyone any idea's? Cheers  :y

Low ATF and/or selector switch needing a clean are the 2 most common causes. I think there are guisdes for both in the relevant section. :y

Might be worth reading the codes on it to see what caused the light to come on?

What year and engine and man/auto is it? It might be worth updating your profile with those details too for any future queries. (Via User CP)
