Title: Estate Load Cover
Post by: P6UL K on 26 January 2011, 14:53:33
Are they the same across the production run?

My car is a 53 plate facelift, so would one from an earlier model fit or does it have to be year specific?

But it says 94 - 99  :-/

It says OXO on buses but they don't sell it  ;D ;D ;D

This one looks like the one that was on Mrs 2000 facelift.
The earlier one is also a little wider if I remember correctly also has different fastening locks  :)

So what your saying is that it has to be year/model specific then?

It doesn't look like the one in my '01 .. the bits that clip in at the sides look wider on mine; though that could just be the photo I suppose :)

Pre facelift definitely don't fit. Made this mistake with my first one. ::)

I've got the original black side runners on mine, (03 build), with the load cover from a W reg
one.

If you look at the tracks that the rods for the copver run in (part of the side panels in the boot) you will see a set of geared racks.....some are straight cut (90 deg to the line of boot) and some skewed (45/60deg to the line of the boot)

Preface straight cut with a wider holder, miniface a mixture of both, Facelift 45 degree cut and different housing, all from memory, if not the other way round.
