Title: Wheel alignment in Swindon or Newbury?
Post by: pigtown on 27 January 2011, 13:23:15
Hi anyone recommend a place that can handle the Omega wheel alignment in either Swindon or Newbury (Home or Work).  Got new tyres a few months back and they are wearing badly on the outside.

Thanks
Keith

Imperial Tyres in Swindon do alignment, but to be honest WIM in Chesham is the only place to go for a proper setup. Ask for OOF discount. HTH :y

And not that far from you in the grand scheme of things ;) ;)

Be aware though that the uneven wear, once started, will continue through the life of the tyre even after alignment although it will possibly slow a little

WIM is only an hour away, it's a nice run out and the fuel cost is far less than a single tyre ... Been there 3 times now .. and wouldn't go anywhere else.

Used Imperial Tyres in the past .. they have the kit agreed, but as long as its "in the green" to them its right .. Tony at WIM is not satisfied with such a broad spectrum and sets them correctly .. :)

Micheldever tyres are nearer to you.

The advice really depends on the reason for set up ? Has it had work done etc, are the tyrs new or old currently?

But wheels in motion are "mecca" for set up if poss.

Agree with all the above. Two and a half hours each way for me, results are worth every minute.

Good plan Nige, there is a W reg.TD in my next village also. I have left a note on his windscreen, but I don't know whose it is or if he's joined. :y
