Can anyone tell me how can i remove the gearknob?? i just fited new leather gaiter and the guy who did it for me said that he can dress the knob in leather if i manage to get it out because he doesn't risk brakeing it.

I think they are usually destroyed in removal, perhaps you could get a complete gear lever, with a worn gearknob, you could get that covered then replace yours.

I've no idea re Omegas, but the gaiter on my manual Astra has a cable/zip tie holding it to the gear lever. :-/ :-/ To remove the gaiter is just a case of inverting it and cutting the tie.
