well after taking the car a good motorway run, upon pulling into a ptrol station i got burning oil smoke from under the bonnet, i let it cool and nursed car home, dipstick still shows oil is full, but when the car is reved, thers a nice misty spray of what looks like oil on the rear passenger side of the engine, then is smokes kind of blue as it must be dripping down and heating up, i have messaged andyc about getting me rocker cover gaskets and also found these http://www.autogateway.co.uk/NewCategory--RockerCoverGasket-118.25 fia ones, i have also seen a set on ebay for a total of £20 but i notice you all go against them, is it the main opinion of forum menbers to always use the deared gewn vauxhall ones , or has anyone used the cheap ones and its did the job ? thanks

Genuine only i'm affraid unless you want to do the job twice ;)

also found a set on ebay that states "The gaskets supplied are not an Aftermarket gasket but made by Elring Klinger, a supplier to Vauxhall." for £28 total, could anyone tell me if these are the same or as good as gen vauxhall ones thanks.

yer dont use cheap gaskets i learnt that one the hard way the drivers side held up nicely but the passenger side had to be redone with genuine gm gaskets and was a complete pain in the arse
