Title: FL Headlight washers
Post by: Entwood on 04 February 2011, 10:26:45
Some scrote kind and considerate person has obviously used my front bumper as a parking guide. :(

2 deep scratches to the centre paintwork and a long rubber mark below the nearside headlight, which, luckily has polished out.

However the nearside headlight washer is causing a problem. The coloured portion seems to have "popped out" of the bumper, and when I push it back down, the inner, black, washer bit then "pops up" .. if I push that down the coloured part rises back up !!!!

So, how do the headlight washer coloured bits secure to the bumper  ??? and how does the black bit stay where it should ??

Obviously nowt in Haynes as its a FL .. and would it be different being an Irmshaw bumper ???

Black washer piece is a force fit into the coloured cover. Unit is held on bumper with a U-shaped spring clip underneath, Irmy bumper makes no difference

Thanks for that .. once it stops raining I'll go and lie underneath it .. sounds like I've lost a spring clip then ..  :)
