Title: Cam cover gasket price
Post by: Terbs on 04 February 2011, 19:26:28
Hi all
Hope this help section is right place for this enquiry, if not please move :y

I have just had a quote for the cam cover gaskets from Vauxhall   part no 90511451.
They quote £77.16 for the two sets. Do these sets come with the small round rings or are they a seperate part.
What discount would a Trade card get on those prices???
And now the cheeky bit ;) if the discount is substantial, would anyone near me be prepared to get the bits and I will pick up from you and pay :y
Cheek I know....but times are hard :(

I paid (IIRC) £76 inc VAT a few weeks back for both cam cover gaskets, (trade card price). The little 'O' rings are extra, but only cost me a couple of quid, if that. Sealant was just under £8 I think?

I stand corrected.

I found the reciept in the garage and the sealant was £3.97 +VAT.

Seems to be a bit of differance from dealer to dealer in these trade card prices?

Funnily enough i was looking at exactly the same things this weekend, probably to purchase today.

With the kit through the OOF shop, does it provide everything i need or just the majority? The maintenance guide for the cam cover gasket suggests a few gaskets that i dont think are listed in the parts list on the shop. Does anyone know if they are necessary or are the andyc quoted parts all that is required?

Steve....
The parts are not available through the shop.
I ordered them and TB said the system was at fault and I should not have been able to access. They are now marked out of stock. :y
