On the dual carriage way today I slipped behind a container lorry in a 50 zone. Listening to music, couldn't be bothered to pull out and get to my appointment early so just sat there, behind the lorry at between 50 - 60.
After a 30 mile trip....Average MPG 43.4
NOT bad for a 3.0 Amazing MPG but as boring as hell...well boring in between the concern of plowing in to the back of the lorry if he braked !
That said, had to get back to the office fairly smartish there after. 30 miles back again it had slipped to 36.8 MPG average. Suspect by the end of the week it will be back to the normal 25 MPG ish.

I cracked 40mpg in a project estate I had, they can be economical if you keep off the loud pedal, but really these things belong in the outside lane annoying BMW's :D

Unfortunately I drive around town to much for business but at 40p per mile it covers my business and personal fuel.
Tried to keep within the lorry's slipstream as much as safety would allow.
