Post by: fudy on 09 February 2011, 20:27:33
driving home tonight and there was a change in engine note and a bit of steam, then while i was at the lights anti freeze steam came bellowing from under the bonnnet!! :'( it's lost all the coolant in the header tank.!?  the car gave me a oil level warning on the display this morning so i topped it up before i set off from work tonight an spilled a good bit so i thought it was that burning off. too dark now i will have to have a look tommorow. it dont sound good though :'(

sounds like the heater bypass valve, but a visual chack in daylight should confirm. :y

it could be any of the engine hoses. I had a top radiator hose blow a 6" split on my Senator. I'd not realised it was that big till later on when I turned up with my temp hose bandage.  :-? ;D ;D ;D
