Having dried out the car after the last influx when I suspected the scuttle drain which was completely clear when I inspected it. I now have water again in the passenger side. I suspect the windscreen or a perforated bulkhead maybe in the drain area. Any ideas or suggestions.

Might be worth removing the kick board and you laying in there with a torch while somebody else fires a hose at the windscreen area. Might give you a fighting chance of seeing if it is the scuttle or screen rubber. :-/

Is the kick board the padded area infront of the feet is it easy to get out?
-
Easy. :y
3 large finger tight twist clips (have a slot for a modest flat bladed screwdriver) and it will drop down, then a sharp tug to free it from the clips on the bulk head. :y

Under glove box above your feet. As already said, easy to remove with a flat blade screwdriver or even a small coin. Just turn them through 90 degrees.
If it's anything like mine, the Nokia handsfree kit falls in my face where I have stuffed it up there behind the board. ;D ;D

Be careful as you turn them ... they break very easily .. and if anyone has any lying around I still need a couple of replacements .. :)

Thanks for your help when it stops raining I will have a go I must admit that I thought that I might take the glove box out to help examination

Good idea. It opens up the 'viewing' area much more. :y
Good luck.

If my windscreen is leaking I assume that cannot be claimed for replacement on insurance, only if is broken?
-
fire a stone at it lol, check the water is not coming from the door as well mate.job for me tomoz someone has been in at the passenger door and hasnt replaced the door foil, and the water is coming in its soaking the door pocket grrr.

I gave the car the hose pipe treatment today tried it on the door shuts right across the windscreen but no water in the car. Is it possible in a heavy downpour that the scuttle can overflow even when the drain is clear I watched the outlet from the drain today and it appeared to flow OK.
-
Did you ever get the windscreen rubbers properly secure around especially the bottom of your windscreen Ron? :-/ :-/
I understand that you have used a hosepipe over the windscreen, I assume at an angle across the top. But when you are driving through rain the chances are the rain water is driving up from the bottom of the windscreen and could easily find any weakness you have in the rubber seal, which was very dodgy the last time I saw it ;) ;)

Hello Lizzie The water seems to get in when the car is standing on the drive. I put some very sticky tape over the joints soon after I saw you to keep the water away from the engine and that seemed to work OK. I have been waiting for a stone to go through the screen so that I could get a new one fitted but no luck. All I am trying to do now is locate the problem before lashing out on a screen replacement.
-
Sorry Lizzie but I didnt answer your question I will have a go with the hose coming up from the bottom.

I have the normal windscreen insurance £ 75 no effect on no claims but I thought that that was only for a cracked screen

Have you checked and ruled out the possability of the heater matrix leaking ?.
Does the water in the car smell of coolant.?
-
No no smell or colour level in bottle not changing
