Title: steering misbehaviour

A couple times when turning a sharpish right, the car has tried to continue around, and when you attempt to correct it veers in the opposite direction.

This happened to my wife today, but driving back it was absolutely fine.  I have a 2.2 dti 2002.  It has just had its cranshaft pulley replaced and drivebelt about 500 miles ago.

Any thoughts what this might be?

Front wishbone bushes are generally the first port of call for wayward steering. ;)

Hmmm, not had this myself but drove another members car with fubar Front Delphi wishbone bushes on one side, which felt like the whole wheel was folding under the car and turning excessively when the weight of the car was thrown onto  that side. I guess when corrected it would spring back the other way...?

Anyway, as said bushes are the first place to look, lemforder wishbones are the way if both bushes are gone.

Whats the history? How long ave you owned it? Have the wishbones been replaced at any point to your knowledge?
Odds are they need changing.
