Hi can anyone tell me what the idle speed is for 2.2.
I have just had head gasket done and now it seems too low. Its idling when upto temp at about 600 but seems a bit viby. If using throttle to take it to 7-750 its fine.
When starting from cold its fine and when running fine.
Could having the head skimmed be a cause, and is there a way to adjust the idle speed. The throttle body and pipes have been cleaned.
 Cheers Glyn

600 is fine with the air-con off, which it will be in this weather

				Thanks for the reply.
Does anyone know how to adjust the idle speed on DBW.

 Controlled by the ECU

As Rob says controled by the ECU but I think it can be adjusted with a Tech 2 if really needed.

Idle cannot be adjusted, its ECU controlled as Rob says. If its lumpy/uneven, i'd be checking for any air leaks, oil in the plugs and the age of the plugs for basics. But if you've had work done, take it back, as its not right  :y

				Thanks for replys.
It actually idles perfectly.Drives perfect as well.
Its just at idle, there is a vibration which you can feel and hear and goes away when you add a few revs.

Getting the ECU to compensate/mask another fault will only end in tears...  ...that said, I'd expect tickover of a 4 pot to be a dead steady 700-725rpm

On that lump, a full breather and TB clean can do wonders.

				Solved
It was the exhaust. A rubber mount had gone and left it too close to the body.
